People have been asking us for this piece for a long time, so: here it is! Nice reproduction of the original style oil filter canister, with original style bracket to mount to the side of your flathead 6 engine. Top comes off and you can replace the modern element inside (yes we sell them, part #L-285, it’s included with your purchase of this assembly.) This is the accesory filter used on the flat six Plymouth and Dodge engines 1933-1957 and Chrysler and DeSoto 1937-1942. Many people don’t know that these cars could have come out of the dealerships with no oil filter at all, with “throw away” sealed can type units, and with replaceable element type units like this one. Plumbing not included but it is an easy fabriation.
